"He said the weapons will better match the Chicago police officers against criminals with sophisticated weapons, such as high-powered assault rifles."<br /><br />"Many times [Chicago police are] outgunned, to be very frank," Daley said. The thought process of anti-gun people always amazes me... Notice the comment about how "many times Chicago Police are outgunned...." Well, I certainly commend Mr Daley for wanting to ensure that the men and women of the Chicago Police Department are able to defend themselves if necessary. I just hope that he doesn't forget that, although the vast majority of us are not employed by the Chicago Police Department, we still have the constitutional right to defend ourselves and to not be "outgunned"....
