Sig 556 Rifle Rails

RB Precision has developed some new prototype extended rails in two heights for the Sig 556 rifle. They developed these rails to accommodate higher eye relief larger scopes (and clearance) and to allow more "real estate" (rail length) for mounting red dot type optics. Some of the new red dots can use magnifiers (like the EOtech and Aimpoint). With these magnifiers you need more rail length.

Here are some measurements of the rails:

Stock height (for reference) is .325 tall and 8.5 long

Extended rail design #1 is .550 tall and 13.250 long

Extended rail design #2 is .800 tall and 13.250 long
